Customizing universal dataset 2414

Post-processing lets you use insert special KEY words into following records of dataset 2414 to customize certain aspects of post-processing displays:

  • Record 2 (Analysis dataset name).

  • Records 4–8 (ID lines 1–5).

  • Record 9 (ID line 4)

Supported KEY words for dataset 2414

The following table KEY words you can use to customize dataset 2414:

KEY word Description
LOADCASE_NAME_KEY Specifies the load case name that displays in the Post Processing Navigator.
EXPRESSION_NAME_KEY Specifies the name of the expression that displays in the header.
RESULT_NAME_KEY Specifies the result name that displays in the Post Processing Navigator.

For example:

2414         1LOADCASE_NAME_KEY Temp1000LC         1RESULT_NAME_KEY Temp1000OutputNameNONEEXPRESSION_NAME_KEY  (1-(1000-60)/(2000-60)) *TEMP60+ ((1000-60)/(2000-60) )*TEMCreation time 31-Mar-14   13:28:07NONE         2         1         1         5         2         1         1         0         1         0         1         0         0         0         0         0  0.00000E+00  0.00000E+00  0.00000E+00  0.00000E+00  0.00000E+00  0.00000E+00  0.00000E+00  0.00000E+00  0.00000E+00  0.00000E+00  0.00000E+00  0.00000E+00         1

Example: Using KEY words to create a custom result type

If the result type you are creating is not included in the list defined in record 9, field 4 of dataset 2414, you can create your own result type by placing RESULT_NAME_KEY in record 4 of the dataset. This text must be followed by the name for your specific result type.

For example, listed below are the first 9 lines of a dataset 2414, which contain a user-defined result type named My Displacement in record 4:

    -1  2414         1None         1RESULT_NAME_KEY My DisplacementNoneNoneCreation time 19-Nov-10   14:15:49NONE

When you display the result, user-defined text, such as My Displacement, appears in the Post Processing Navigator and in the header for the display.
