Design Response Quantities dialog box

Note:

Additional options might appear on this dialog box, depending on which response type you select. For more information, see the design response attributes table for the Simcenter Nastran DRESP1 bulk data entry.

Modeling Object
Name Sets a unique name for the design response quantities modeling object.
Label Sets a unique integer for the modeling object. This label also appears in the Modeling Objects Manager dialog box, and you can filter the objects listed in that dialog box by their label.
Properties
Description Sets a description for the modeling object. You can optionally click Description to open the Description dialog box. This lets you see more of the text that you type, as well as cut, copy, or paste text.
Card Name Displays the name of the Simcenter Nastran bulk data entry associated with this modeling object: DRESP1.
Label Sets the identifier to write to the .f06 file when you solve the model.
Response Type Specifies the type of quantity to optimize (if this is a response for a design variable or design objective) or constrain (if this is a response for a constraint).
Row Number Appears when Response Type is set to Total Model Weight (WEIGHT).Design response weight is obtained from the Simcenter Nastran grid point weight generator, which computes the mass properties, centers of gravity, and inertias of the structure. The Row Number and Column Number refer to the row and column numbers of the rigid body weight matrix:The default values of Row Number and Column Number are 3, which specifies Wz (weight in the Z direction of the absolute coordinate system). This default value is appropriate for models that have no directional mass. If no directional mass is defined (for example, if no CONM1, CMASS, or DMI bulk entries exist), the Wx, Wy, and Wz values each equal the weight of the structure.By default, the mass properties calculation is performed relative to the origin of the absolute coordinate system, which is the same as the Simcenter Nastran basic coordinate system. However, if you define the GRDPNT parameter, the calculation is performed relative to the reference node you specify. To define the GRDPNT parameter, in the Case Control page in the Solution dialog box, click Create Modeling Object next to Parameters (PARAM), and then click G-H in the list. If you type a different value in the GRDPNT box, the parameter is added to the solution. To add the parameter and retain the default value, click Add .For more information, see DRESP1, Grid Point Weight Generator, and Weight Center of Gravity and Moment of Inertia Check.
Column Number Appears when Response Type is set to Total Model Weight (WEIGHT).Specifies the column number in the rigid body weight matrix. See Row Number above for more information.
