Create a frequency objective

  1. In the Geometry Optimization dialog box, select Define Objective. Note: You can define only one objective for each optimization.

  2. From the Type list, select Frequency.

  3. From the Iteration list, select the mode number and frequency from the referenced solution results with which to drive the objective.

  4. In the Parameters group, select Minimize, Maximize, or Target. Depending on your selection, the objective is minimized, maximized, or it targets a value that you specify.

  5. If you selected Target, type a value in the Target Value box for the objective.

  6. From the Unit list, select the appropriate units of measure for the response. The optimization results are output in the selected units.

  7. Click Next to proceed to the Define Constraints step of the optimization setup.
