Teamcenter Integration for Simulation
Specifying the default export directory
When you save a solved model, you are prompted to import any solver-generated files, as well as any reports. These files are stored as named references in the dataset container under the CAE Analysis item revision.
CAE model data and solver files can grow quite large. If there is not enough disk space in the current working directory for all data during a save, the import to Teamcenter will fail.
You can change the default directory that Teamcenter uses to temporarily store CAE data prior to import to specify, for example, a large scratch directory on another drive. To change the default export directory, set the following environment variable:
API_DEFAULT_DIR
Without this environment variable, when you save data using Teamcenter Integration mode, the data is written to a temporary directory in your current working directory before being imported to Teamcenter. Typically, this is the UGII_BASE_DIR location.
