Select faces by group

The Faces by Group selection method is available for many commands. For example, you can use it to select all faces in a group when creating a mesh, defining material orientation, or when creating a force load.

1. On the scene toolbar, from the Method list, select Faces by Group.

2. Select an entity type from the Type Filter list:Type filterActionNo Selection FilterSelect a group in the Simulation Navigator. The software selects all faces in that group. Or select any entity to select all faces in the group that entity belongs to.CurveSelect a curve. The software selects all faces in the group that curve belongs to.PointSelect a point. The software selects all faces in the group that point belongs to.Mesh PointSelect a mesh point. The software selects all faces in the group that mesh point belongs to.CSYSSelect a coordinate system. The software selects all faces in the group that coordinate system belongs to.Polygon FaceSelect a polygon face. The software selects all faces in the group that polygon face belongs to.ElementSelect an element. The software selects all faces in the group that element belongs to.NodeSelect a node. The software selects all faces in the group that node belongs to.
