Reduce response errors with residual vectors
Create the residual vector request
Choose Home tab → Properties group → Modeling Objects .Alternatively, click Create Modeling Object next to Residual Vectors:On the Case Control page in the Solution dialog box of your dynamics solution and proceed to step 4.In the Solution Step dialog box of the dynamics subcase for a SOL 103 Response Dynamics solution and proceed to step 4.For information on applicable solutions, see Solution dialog box (Nastran), Case Control page.
In the Modeling Objects Manager dialog box, from the Type list, select Residual Vectors.
Click Create.
Select the appropriate properties or use the defaults.For information on the properties, see Residual Vectors dialog box (Nastran).
Click OK to close the Residual Vectors dialog box.The defined request is added to the Selection group table of the Modeling Objects Manager dialog box.
Click Close to complete the request definition for the residual vectors and close the Modeling Objects Manager dialog box.The software places the Residual Vectors object in the Modeling Objects container in the Simulation Navigator.
Add the defined request for residual vectors to the solution step
Right-click the active dynamics subcase and choose Edit.For example, in a SOL 103 Response Dynamics solution, right-click the active dynamics subcase and choose Edit.
From the Residual Vectors list, select the appropriate request.
Turn off the residual vectors request in the solution step
Right-click the active dynamics subcase and choose Edit.
From the Residual Vectors list, select None.
