ANSYS Mesh Collector dialog box

Element Topology
Element Family Specifies the element family. Choose from:0D1D2D****3D
Collector Type Specifies the collector type for the selected family. The element names depend on the solver language chosen for the FE model.
Physical Properties
Does not appear for the following element families and collector types: 1D CERIG, CP, MASS210D MASS
Material Assigns a material to the mesh collector.Select a material from the list of materials assigned to the model, or click Choose material to define a new material.
Real Constants
Appears for the following element families and collector types: 3D Solid2D Shell1D BEAM44, BEAM4, and COMBIN140D MASS
Collector type Specifies the physical property table for the mesh collector.Select a physical property table from the list, or click Create Physical to define a new physical property table.Click Edit to modify the specified physical property table.
Appears only for the following element families and collector types:3D SOLSH190, SOLID191, and SOLID1862D SHELL181 and Laminate Shell
Type Choose from the following types:Basic Laminate****Laminate Shell (2D SHELL181 only)SolidClick Open Manager to define a new laminate definition or physical property table based on the specified type.
Remove midside nodes on export Available when Collector Type is set to Solid. For SOLID186 elements that are connected to SOLID185 elements through a shared face, controls whether the software removes the midside nodes of the SOLID186 element when you export the ANSYS input file. Removing the midside nodes creates a hexahedral element with 16 nodes. For more information, see Working with ANSYS SOLID186 and SOLID187 elements.
Name Selects an existing physical property table defined for the specified element family and collector type.Click Edit to modify the specified physical property table.
Appears only for 1D PRETS179 mesh collectors.
Pretension Selection Specifies the pretension physical property table for the mesh collector.Select a physical property table from the list, or click Create Physical to define a new physical property table.Click Edit to modify the specified physical property table.
Properties
Name Specifies the name of the mesh collector. Enter a meaningful name or accept the default.
