Abaqus environment > Abaqus analysis types > Modal flexible body analysis (Abaqus)
Set up a modal flexible body solution (Abaqus)
In the Simulation Navigator, right-click the Simulation file, and choose New Solution.
In the Solution dialog box, do the following:Set the Solver list to Abaqus.Set the Analysis Type list to Structural. Set the Solution Type list to Modal Flexible Body.
(Optional) In the Eigenvalue Extraction tab, do the following:In the Number of Desired Modes box, type the number of desired modes to extract. To set the frequency range, select the Specify Frequency Range check box and then type the lower and upper limits.
On the Output tab, select the matrices and vectors you want to output. For more information, see Solution dialog box (Abaqus). Note: You must select to output a mass matrix file to use the results in a flexible body solution in Simcenter 3D Motion. The mass matrix information is used in the flexible body solution unless you select another way to handle the mass properties in the Mass Properties tab of the Flexible Body dialog box. For more information, see Add mass properties to a finite element flexible body.
Select any other solution options you want to set. For more information, see Solution dialog box (Abaqus).
Click OK.
