Copy and Translate elements
Choose Nodes and Elements tab→Elements group→Element Copy and Translate .
From the Type list, choose whether you want to translate the elements or copy and translate the elements. Select Element Coat to create a coating of linear 1D elements along the edges of selected 2D or 3D elements. For more information, see 1D element coating meshes.
From the Element Type list, choose the part of the element to translate.
Use Select Object along with the options on the Top Border bar to select the elements.
If you selected Element Copy and Translate from the Type list, use the Number of Copies option to specify how many copies of the elements you want to create.
Choose whether you want to translate the elements a specified distance relative to a coordinate system (With Orientation, whether you want to translate the elements along a specified vector (Along Vector), or whether you want to translate the element faces along their normals (Element Normal). If you choose With Orientation, use the CSYS menu to select the type of coordinate system to use. Use the coordinate system commands, if necessary, to create the coordinate system. Then, enter the distance to translate the elements along each axis, such as DX.If you choose Along Vector, specify the vector along which to translate the elements. Enter the Distance to translate the elements along that factor.If you choose Element Normals, use the Reverse Direction to reverse the direction of the previewed element normal, if necessary.
Specify the distance to translate the elements.
If necessary, choose the type of elements to create.
(Optional) Use the Label options to control how the software defines the labels for the new elements.
Click OK or Apply.
