Define a layup offset

You can define a top, middle, bottom, or custom layup offset. For the custom layup offset, see Define a custom layup offset. This example shows how to define a bottom layup offset.

  1. In the Simulation Navigator, right-click the Bottom node under the Layup Offset node and choose Edit.

  2. In the Laminate Layup Offset dialog box, select the faces or elements that have the reference plane at the bottom of the bottom ply.When selecting objects, you can use the selection methods on the Top Border bar to quickly select multiple related faces or elements.

  3. Click OK.
