Modify the mode pairing and shape correlation method

In the Model Update solution process

  1. In the Simulation Navigator, under the Model Update node, right-click the Mode Pairing node and choose Edit.

  2. In the Automatic Pairing group, from the Method list, select Manual.

  3. In the Manual Pairing group, click Pairs Modes Sequentially to create pairs for all the active reference modes.

  4. In the Model Update group, from the Shape Correlation Method, select MAC.The Model Update solution process uses this method for calculating the target errors and for optimization.

  5. Click OK.

In the Model Update Set solution process

By default, the mode pairing and shape correlation methods are defined by the master Model Update solution process. Clearing the master solution process allows you to manually define the methods.

  1. In the Simulation Navigator, right-click the Model Update Set node and choose Edit.

  2. In the Model Update List group, right-click the row with the Model Update solution process that is selected as a master solution process and select Clear Master.

  3. From the Mode Pairing Method, select an available method.

  4. Click OK.
