Solution dialog box (Simcenter Samcef Mapping)

General tab

Foreground Run
Run Job in Foreground Runs the Samcef job run in the foreground.
_mt.des File
_mt.des File Lets you select the Samcef thermal results file to take into account in the mapping computation.
Thermal Groups
Create Thermal Group Name(s) Lets you automatically create source mapping zones of modeling objects from the Groups defined in the thermal model.
User-Defined Text
Prolog****Epilog Specifies the User Defined Text to prepend (Prolog) or append (Epilog) to the solver input file. For more information, see Customizing a Simcenter Samcef input file with user defined text.

Axisymmetry tab

Thermal Input
Axisymmetric Select this check box if the thermal solution of the model from which you want to map the results is one of the Axisymmetric Thermal analysis types. The following options help you to correctly position the 3D mesh onto the axisymmetric model prior to the interpolation. For more information, see Axisymmetric thermal to 3D structural mapping (Simcenter Samcef).
Local Thermal System of Reference (3 Node Numbers: .IT3 TNOE/TPOI)
Appears when the Axisymmetric check box is selected. With the following options, you select the three nodes that define the thermal system of reference.
Specify by Specifies the method for defining the three thermal reference nodes.
NodeId1NodeId2NodeId3 Appears when Specify by is set to NodeId.Lets you enter the three node numbers that define the thermal system of reference.Note: The three node numbers must exist in the thermal model.
Position1Position2Position3 Appears when Specify by is set to Coordinates. Lets you define the coordinates of the three points that define the thermal system of reference.Note: From the thermal solution, the mapping solution fetches the three nodes that have the same coordinates as the ones you specify.
Local Structural System of Reference (3 Node Numbers: .IT3 MNOE/MPOI)
Appears when the Axisymmetric check box is selected. With the following options, you select the three nodes that define the structural system of reference.
Specify by Specifies the method for defining the three thermal reference nodes.
NodeId1NodeId2NodeId3 Appears when Specify by is set to NodeId. Lets you enter the three node numbers that will define the structural system of reference.Select an existing modeling object from the list or click Create Modeling Object to create a new modeling object.
Position1Position2Position3 Appears when Specify by is set to Coordinates. On the structural mesh, lets you define the three points that define the structural system of reference.
