Importing solution parameters (Simcenter Samcef)

When you import a Simcenter Samcef model, the following Samcef solutions commands (and their related parameters) are imported.

Imported solution parameters for a Simcenter Samcef linear static analysis

Samcef command Supported parameters
.GEL TEMP
.ALGO PRECPENA, PRECNEWT, REAC, MINO, MMFOPTDBPOST
.SAM MF

Imported solution parameters for a Simcenter Samcef linear modal analysis

Samcef command Supported parameters
.GEL TEMP
.ALGO PRECPENA, PRECNEWT, MINO, MMFOPTLANCNVA, V1, V2, MEFIMP, PARTIMP, REAIMPWAVEDBPOST
.SAM MF, NVAL

Imported solution parameters for a Simcenter Samcef standalone buckling analysis

Samcef command Supported parameters
.GEL TEMP
.ALGO PRECPENA, PRECNEWT, REAC, MINO, MMFOPTLANCNVA, V1, V2, MEFIMP, PARTIMP, REAIMPCONFIX, CONPREDBPOST
.SAM MF, NVAL

Imported solution parameters for a Simcenter Samcef nonlinear solution: solution parameters

Samcef command Supported parameters
.GEL TEMP
.ALGO PRECPENA, PRECNEWT, REAC, MMFOPTITH0, TBEG, FIRSTE, NFIR, ROTIDE, DEFIDE, RAPIDELINK, RESO, INLY, IREF, KINIMINO, SNORMDBPOST
.SAM NLIS
.SUBCASE ITH0, FIRSTE, IREF, KINI, RESO, INLY, LINK

Note:

The .SUBCASE list of parameters above is common to .SUBCASE and .ALGO. In Samcef, either these parameters are defined in the .ALGO command, or they are defined in the first .SUBCASE command of the model. If so, they cannot be modified between two subsequent subcases.

During the import, if one of these parameters is defined at the .SUBCASE level:

  • If the parameter is defined in the first subcase, or if the parameter is defined in all subcases with the same value, the import restores its value as a solution parameter (.ALGO).

  • If the parameter is defined in several subcases with different values (Samcef model error), the import restores the first value as a solution parameter (.ALGO), but issues an error.

Imported solution parameters for a Simcenter Samcef nonlinear solution: subcase only parameters

Samcef command Supported parameters
.SUBCASE DEFLIM, ROTLIMMECA, CIBL, HMIN, HMAX, DTI0, ALFA, BETA, TETA, IMPLPRCO, HPRCO, DTAR, LDYN, LSTA, DIPR, PRCE, PRCR, PRCQ, NORM, PRDR, PRDE, PRDQIA4, IA16, IA19.T1, T2, TIMP, PAS, TIMEITMA, STAB, MADI, RSUBITEREF, ILNS, RELXRJPN, RJPZ, RJPVCONT, PRST, RADINF, RADSUP, NPAMAX, TDECPRELOAD, PRDISPVISC, PRCV, SREFERCD, PRED

Imported solution parameters for a Simcenter Samcef thermal solution: solution parameters

Samcef command Supported parameters
.GEL TEMP
.ALGO NFIR, INLY, IREF, KINI, RESODBPOST
.SUBCASE IREF, KINI, RESO, INLY

Note:

The remark for the nonlinear .SUBCASE solution parameters above also applies for thermal analyses.

Imported solution parameters for a Simcenter Samcef thermal solution: subcases parameters

Samcef command Supported parameters
.SUBCASE MECA, CIBL, HMIN, HMAX, DTI0, GAMMAITMA, PRCO, DTAR, DIPR, IDIA, PRCE, PRCR, PRCQ, PRDR, PRDE, PRDQIA4, IA16, IA19ERCD, PRED, RELXIMPL, PRCO, HPRCOT1, T2, TIMP, PAS, TIMERJPZ, RJPV

Imported solution parameters: time step definitions for Simcenter Samcef nonlinear and thermal analyses

Samcef command Supported parameters for time definitions
.SUBCASE TIMP (list of times)TIMP A (PAS)Note: The two extreme values of the TIMP list are stored in the From and To fields of the Time page of the solution step. The rest of the values (if any) are stored in the User Parameters of the User page of the solution step.
T1 T2 (NPAS)Note: The T1 value is stored in the From field of the Time page of the solution step, the T2 value is stored n the To field of the Time page of the solution step.
TIME (list of times)TIME ANote: The two extreme values of the TIME list are stored in the From and To fields of the Time page of the solution step. The rest of the values (if any) are stored in the Imposed Time of the Storage page of the solution step.

Note:

If both TIME and TIMP lists exist in the model:

  • The two extreme values of the TIMP list are stored in the From and To fields of the Time page of the solution step.

  • The rest of the values (if any) of the TIMP list and all the values of the TIME list are stored in the User Parameters of the User page of the solution step.

Unsupported parameters

Samcef command Unsupported parameters
.GEL, .ALGO, .SAM If a solution parameter is not supported in the Samcef environment, it will be stored as a User Parameter field in the User page of the solution.
.SUBCASE If a subcase parameter is not supported in the Samcef environment, it will be stored as a User Parameter field in the User page of the subcase step.

For more information, see the .GEL, .ALGO, and .SUBCASE Samcef commands.
