Assign a modeling object to a solution or solution subcase
Use these procedures to assign modeling objects to your solution or solution subcase. Modeling objects contain various settings that determine how the solver processes your model.
Assign a modeling object to a solution
In the Simulation Navigator, right-click the solution node and choose Edit. The Solution dialog box opens.
In the Solution dialog box, choose a page, such as Case Control or Bulk Data, that contains the settings or parameters you want to define with a modeling object.
From a setting or parameter list, select the modeling object.Consider the following examples:Suppose you want to use an aerodynamic flutter data modeling object in an aeroelastic flutter analysis. On the Case Control page, from the Flutter Data list, select the modeling object.Suppose you want to use a harmonics set modeling object in a rotor dynamic complex modal analysis. On the Case Control page, from the Fourier Harmonics list, select the modeling object.
(Optional) If you did not create a modeling object previously or you want to create a new one, you can do so by clicking Create Modeling Object next to a setting or parameter list.
Click OK.
Assign a modeling object to a solution subcase
In the Simulation Navigator, under the solution node, right-click the solution subcase node and choose Edit. The Solution Step dialog box opens.
In the Solution Step dialog box, from a setting or parameter list, select a modeling object that you defined previously. For example, suppose you want to use a real eigenvalue modeling object in a rotor dynamic complex modal analysis subcase. In the Solution Step dialog box, from the Real Eigenvalue Method list, select the modeling object.
(Optional) If you did not create a modeling object previously or you want to create a new one, you can do so by clicking Create Modeling Object next to a setting or parameter list.
Click OK.
