Design optimization workflow

1. Create a FEM file and Simulation file. Make sure that the model has a mesh. Create new FEM and Simulation files
2. Create a design optimization solution and subcase. Set Solver to Simcenter Nastran, set Analysis Type to Structural, and set Solution Type to SOL 200 Design Optimization.Make sure that the design optimization solution has at least one subcase. Create or modify a solution
3. Create a design objective and response. When you create or edit a design optimization solution, you can specify the objective and response, such as minimizing the weight of the model. Create the design objective and response
4. Create the design variables. When you create or edit a design optimization solution, you can define the allowable changes to your finite element model.For example, you might allow a shell element thickness to vary from 0.1 inches to 1.2 inches. Create a design variable for design optimization
