Improving performance for narrow beam cross sections
For beam sections with narrow shapes, the default beam section evaluation quality settings result in a performance issue.
To improve performance, set the UGII_CAE_BEAM_SECTION_MESHING_OVERRIDES = toler, max_elems, max_iters environment variable to have a larger tolerance value and smaller element count.
The default values are:toler = 0.001max_elems = 500000max_iters = 0
If you set the max_elems or max_iters to zero, there are no limits on the number of elements or number of iterations.
Values that are skipped in the environment variable will use the default.
For example, set UGII_CAE_BEAM_SECTION_MESHING_OVERRIDES = 0.01, 10000 increases the tolerance and decreases the element count without limiting the iterations.
