Rotating elements
Use the Element Rotate command to rotate selected elements through an arc or around a specified point. When you are working in a model that is defined with a cylindrical coordinate system, for example, you can use this command to translate selected elements around the axis.
You can use options in the Element Rotate dialog box to control whether the software simply rotates the selected elements to a new location or copies and rotates the new elements to a different location. If you choose to simply rotate the selected elements, the software only changes the location of the elements; the association between the elements and any underlying geometry is preserved. However, if you choose to copy and rotate the elements, the software does not preserve the association between the new elements and the underlying geometry.
