Define forcing frequencies
All harmonic response solutions require a Forcing Frequencies modeling object.
For an asynchronous analysis, in the Forcing Frequencies modeling object, you list the excitation frequencies at which you want to evaluate the harmonic response.
For a synchronous analysis, in the Forcing Frequencies modeling object, you must enter zero.
In the Simulation Navigator, expand the solution, right-click Subcase - Frequency Response and choose Edit.
In the Solution Step dialog box, next to Forcing Frequencies, click Edit Forcing Frequencies .
In the Modeling Objects Manager dialog box, from the Type list, select Forcing Frequencies and click Create.
In the Forcing Frequencies dialog box, in the Frequency List box, type as many frequency values as you need.Note: If you apply a synchronous load, you can type a frequency value of 0.
Click OK.The forcing frequencies modeling object is created. You can now associate this modeling object with the solution.
In the Modeling Objects Manager dialog box, in the Selection group, select the new forcing frequencies modeling object.
In the List group, click Add .The selected modeling object appears in the List group.
Click Close.In the Solution Step dialog box, the number of modeling objects that you selected appears in parentheses next to Forcing Frequencies.
Click OK.
