Compute draping and flat patterns

Compute draping and flat patterns for one or more plies in a single layup or all active layups in the FEM.

  • In a FEM file, to compute draping and flat patterns for all plies in active layups with all plies having a status of Update Pending or Up-to-date, do one of the following:Choose Laminates tab→Validation group→Update Global Layups and Zones .InsertLaminateUpdate Global Layups and Zones. In the Simulation Navigator, right-click the Layups node and choose Update.

  • In a FEM file, to compute draping and flat patterns for all plies in a layup with all plies having a status of Update Pending or Up-to-date, do one of the following:In the Simulation Navigator, right-click the node of the layup to update and choose Update.

  • In a FEM file, to compute draping and flat patterns for a single ply with a status of Update Pending, do the following:In the Simulation Navigator, right-click the node of the layup to update and choose Update.
