Durability > Static events
Create a static durability event
Choose Durability →Durability group→Static Event .
(Optional) In the Static Durability Event dialog box, enter a meaningful name that will be displayed in the Simulation Navigator under the Durability solution process node.
From the Static Solution List, select the solution that contains the stress or strain results you want to use.
From the Excitation Type list, select the excitation type that you want.A static event can have multiple load variations of the same excitation type. After you create the static event, you cannot change the excitation type.
On the Strength tab, select the strength durability object from the list or click Create Strength Settings to create a new strength durability object.A strength durability object specifies the stress criterion, the effective stress type, and the requested strength results.
On the Fatigue tab, select the fatigue durability object from the list or click Create Fatigue Settings to create a new fatigue durability object.A fatigue durability object specifies the value for the number of occurrences, the fatigue life criterion, the requested fatigue life results, the method for calculating the maximum alternating stress, and the requested fatigue strength results.
On the Axis Search tab, select the axis search durability object from the list or click Create Axis Search to create a new axis search durability object. The axis search durability object specifies the method for determining the primary loading direction. The primary loading direction, also called the stress axis direction, is the most likely direction along which cracks would initiate.
On the Solve Options tab, select the solve options durability object from the list or click Create Solve Options to create a new solve options durability object. The solve options durability object specifies the default material temperature and the element selection and material overrides.
Click OK.
