Entity Types
Input Filter Appears when you create, edit, or clone a single-strategy selection recipe, or when you add the first strategy to a stacked selection recipe. Available when you create or clone a selection recipe.Specifies where the node that you want to select exists. The listed options vary, depending on whether the Simulation file or FEM file is the displayed part.Selecting any option other than Entire Model limits the scope of the strategy.
Select Object Appears when Input Filter is set to Mesh or Component.Lets you select the mesh or component FEM where the node that you want to select exists.
Entity Type Specifies the type of entity to select using this strategy. This is set to Node and cannot be changed.
Selection
Select Object Lets you specify the existing point in the graphics window near the node that you want to select.
Tolerance Sets the maximum allowable distance between the specified point and the node. The tolerance value should be equal to or greater than the value that appears in the Distance To Nearest Node box. If the tolerance is less than that value, the strategy will not select a node unless the location of the point or the geometry changes.
Distance To Nearest Node Displays the distance to the nearest node based on the selected point and current geometry.
Resolve Preference If two or more nodes exist within the tolerance distance from the specified point, specifies which one to select.Lowest LabelSelects the node with the lowest label value.Highest LabelSelects the node with the highest label value.Closest NodeSelects the node closest to the specified point.
