| Reference Solution (Test or Analysis) | |
|---|---|
| When you edit an existing correlation solution process, you cannot change the selected solution. | |
| Reference Solution list | Lists all existing solutions (test and analysis).Select one solution from the list to be the reference solution. This can be either a test or an analysis solution. |
| Work Solution (Analysis) | |
| When you edit an existing correlation solution process, you cannot change the selected solution. | |
| Work Solution list | Lists all existing solutions (test and analysis).Select one analysis solution from the list as the work solution. |
| Subcase Selection | |
| Available for a shape correlation solution process. | |
| Reference Subcase | Lets you select a subcase from the lists of supported subcases associated with the selected reference analysis solution. No subcase is listed for a test solution. |
| Work Subcase | Lets you select a subcase from the lists of supported subcases associated with the selected work solution. |
| Measurement Type | Selects the modal or operational shape measurement type, which are:Auto-DetectThe software scans the work and reference solutions to find an occurrence of the preferred measurement type. The order of preference for structural shape correlation is displacement, acceleration, and velocity. A mixed type correlation is possible when the selected solutions contain different measurement types. For acoustic shapes, it always uses pressure.DisplacementThe software extracts displacements from the selected subcases, when possible.AccelerationThe software extracts accelerations from the selected subcases, when possible.VelocityThe software extracts velocities from the selected subcases, when possible.PressureThe software extracts pressures from the selected subcases, when possible. |
| FRF Filtering | |
| Only available for FRF correlation solution process. | |
| Preferred Response/Excitation Measure | Specifies the preferred FRF measure type, which is used only when both the work and reference solutions contain more than one common measure type, such as velocity, acceleration, or displacement.Acceleration/ForceDefines the acceleration over force measure type.Velocity/ForceDefines the velocity over force measure type.Displacement/ForceDefines the displacement over force measure type. |
| Mode Filtering | |
| Only available for modal correlation solution process. | |
| Exclude Low-Frequency Modes | Excludes frequency modes smaller than the value you set in the Cutoff Frequency (Hz) box, such as rigid-body modes. These modes are still present in the solution, but they are inactive for mode pairing and MAC/COMAC evaluation. When you clear this option, the software uses all low frequency modes. |
| Exclude High-Frequency Modes | Excludes high frequency modes larger than the value you set in the Cutoff Frequency (Hz) box. These modes are still present in the solution, but they are inactive for mode pairing and MAC/COMAC evaluation. When you clear this option, the software uses all high frequency modes. |
| Node Map Settings | |
| Matching Tolerance | Sets the matching tolerance value used for node to node pairing between work and reference solutions. |
| Allow Size Reduction | Limits the size of the node map that is created between the work solution and the reference solution. |
| Size Limit | Available when Allow Size Reduction is selected.Sets the node map size. The final node map size may be smaller that the value specified when:The reference model has fewer nodes than the specified size. The software finds fewer node pairs than the specified size due to the node matching tolerance. |
