Between Regions options

Primary Region
Group Reference Lets you apply the report region to a group. For more information, see Group Reference options.
Select Object Lets you select the primary region of the model.Element Selection Filtering lets you limit your element selection to the FE entity you select from the Filter Type list:Elements lets you select elements of any order, or any combination of elements of different orders.Element Edges lets you select only the edges of 2D elements.Element Faces lets select only the faces of 3D elements.Excluded lets you remove individual entities from within your selected object.
Stacked Smart Selector Methods Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can specify a progression of smart selection filters. For more information, see Smart Selector Methods dialog box.
Secondary Region
Group Reference Lets you apply the report region to a group. For more information, see Group Reference options.
Select Object Lets you select the secondary region of the model.Element Selection Filtering lets you limit your element selection to the FE entity you select from the Filter Type list:Elements lets you select elements of any order, or any combination of elements of different orders.Element Edges lets you select only the edges of 2D elements.Element Faces lets select only the faces of 3D elements.Excluded lets you remove individual entities from within your selected object.
Stacked Smart Selector Methods Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can specify a progression of smart selection filters. For more information, see Smart Selector Methods dialog box.
Primary Region Override
Override Primary Region Overrides the primary region with a non-geometric element.Non-Geometric ElementProcesses and reports thermal data from the non-geometric element to the secondary region. Select an existing non-geometric element modeling object from the list, or click Create Modeling Object to create a non-geometric element.
Secondary Region Override
Override Secondary Region Overrides the secondary region based on the option you select from the Override Type list. Each Override Type option processes and reports thermal data from the primary region to the selected environment or non-geometric element. If you select Non-Geometric Element, select an existing non-geometric element modeling object from the list, or click Create Modeling Object to create a new non-geometric element.
Thermal Data
Available when you are solving using the thermal solver. This data is the similar to the data obtained with the Heat Maps type Report simulation object. See Heat Maps report for more information.
Heat Flow Processes and reports heat flowing from the Primary Region (i) to theSecondary Region (j). The temperature of the two sets of elements are reported, followed by heat flows broken down by conduction, radiation, convection and thermal couplings, as well as the total heat flow.
View Factors and RadKs Post processes and reports view factors from the Primary Region (i) to the Secondary Region (j). Emissivity values and area for both groups are reported, as well as black body view factors, gray body view factors, ScriptF, and RadK.
3D Flow Data
Available when you are solving using the flow solver.
Pressure Drop Reports the static and total pressure drop between the regions.
Spectral Attenuation Reports the spectral attenuation for a transient analysis. See Spectral attenuation report for more information.
Shell Layers
Apply Primary Region Report to****Apply Secondary Region Report to Specifies on which side of 2D shell elements you want to calculate thermal results for primary and secondary regions. The results are calculated on the following sides of 2D shell elements:Top and BottomTopBottom
