Mesh Control dialog box–Point density type options

Selection
Select Targets	Lets you select the point, mesh point, or vertex to which to apply the Point density.
Mesh Parameters
Element Size	Available when the Spot Weld check box is cleared.Enter the desired element size for the mesh around the selected point.
Spot Weld	Creates a hexagonal shaped mesh that is comprised of a specified number of paved layers of elements around a selected mesh point. Use this option to model the location of a spot weld.
Total Layer Depth	Available when the Layer Depths Table check box is cleared.
Number of Elements Per Layer	Lets you specify the total number of elements in each layer.
Number of Layers	Lets you specify the number of layers of paved elements to create around the weld location.
Layer Depths Table	Lets you control the thickness of each layer of elements.
Radius of Influence	Available when the Spot Weld check box is cleared.Defines the size of the area around the point in which the software applies the specified Element Size.
Automatic	Automatically updates the mesh when you specify or change a value.
Preview	Previews the mesh based on your current selections.
