Import a layup from Excel
Open one of the following dialog boxes:For a zone-based process, open the Laminate Modeler dialog box or the Solid Laminate Modeler dialog box.For the ply-based process, open the Layup Modeler dialog box.
In the dialog box, click Edit Layup to Spreadsheet .
In Excel, type your layup information in the worksheet or paste in the layup information that you copy from a different worksheet. If you type the information:In each row, define one ply in the layup.Set up five columns from left to right in the following order: Ply ID, Material Name, Thickness, Angle, and Description.In each cell, enter the property for the ply you are defining.The Ply ID column is optional. The material name is the name of an existing Pre/Post material or ply material. Enter thickness in the FEM units. Enter the orientation angle in positive or negative values. In Excel, on the Add-ins tab, choose Update Table.
Exit the spreadsheet application.
