Cyclic symmetric displays
You can use the Set Result command to set up the 3D display of cyclic symmetric results.
Note:
Setting up the cyclic symmetric results display is available with the contour plot color display.
Sector display
For multi-stage cyclic results from a SOL 401 analysis, you can select the sectors to display: a specific sector, multiple sectors, all sectors, or the primary sector. For multi-stage results, you can set the display of the sectors for each stage. When multi-stage results are available, the dialog box for setting cyclic display options contains a Stage list. The Stage list contains the number of stages, the number of sectors in each stage, and how the display for the sectors is set.
The following figure shows three stages with different sector displays.
(1) Stage 1 displays the primary sector.
(2) Stage 2 displays selected sectors.
(3) Stage 3 displays all the sectors.
Because only cyclic results are available, the dialog box for setting cyclic display options is named Cyclic Options and it contains a list of the three stages.

Simcenter 3D Multiphysics cyclic mode analysis display
For Simcenter 3D Multiphysics cyclic mode analysis, you can display:
The cyclic normal modes result from the sector containing the maximum, minimum, absolute maximum, or absolute minimum result at the primary sector location.
An enveloped value of cyclic normal modes result at the primary sector location.Note: For example, if the primary segment is 45°, eight segments exist around the circumference. The software determines the enveloped result for a node using the eight segment values for that node. Therefore, the value displayed for node 1 could be from segment 5, but the value displayed for node 2 could be from the primary segment (segment 1). The enveloped results for all nodes are then displayed at the primary sector location. Sector 1, the primary sector displayed****All sectors displayed
Cyclic worst principal stress and strain results display
For cyclic worst principal stress and strain results (for both, scalar and angle), the results have a single scalar component and are evaluated for the primary sector only. Therefore, the results do not vary across sectors. If you display other sectors in the post view, the software displays the same results for every sector. In addition, the post-processor only shows the absolute value of stress and strain.
For more information, see Cyclic worst principal stress and strain results.
