Model and Load Pre-processing > Create a Fan Noise load and solution
7. Edit the solution to add Output Requests and Harmonics
You will add an Automatically Matched Layer (AML) to the exterior of your fluid domain and add the fan noise load to the solution.
In the Simulation Navigator, display the 3D Collector.
Right-click the solution and choose Edit.
In the Solution dialog box, on the Case Control tab , Create Modeling Object (Output Requests).
In the Acoustic Output Request dialog box, select the Enable PRESSURE Request check box .
Click OK.
In the Solution dialog box, on the Case Control tab, Forcing Frequencies , click Create Forcing Frequencies.
In the Modeling Objects Manager dialog box, select the Harmonics Type and click Create. When you apply a fan noise, the forcing frequencies of the solution are defined as harmonics and sub-harmonics of the fan.
In the Harmonics dialog box, select the Definition Type as Linear Step to compute multiple fan harmonics. Select Individual Harmonics to solve for one fan harmonic.
Select the Harmonics Type as Blade or Shaft Harmonics. If you choose Blade Harmonics you define harmonics only. If you choose Shaft Harmonics you define harmonics and sub-harmonics.
On the Fan Noise Parameters tab, select Fan Noise Parameter.
If you select Linear Step, on the Harmonics List tab specify the Start, End, and Step harmonic values. The harmonics are specified as multiples of the blade pass frequency. For more information, see Harmonics dialog box.
If you select Linear Step, to compute sub-harmonics (solutions at frequencies between the harmonic frequencies), select the Add Sub-Harmonics check box and specify the values.
Click OK to close the Harmonics dialog box.
In the Modeling Objects Manager click Add to add the Harmonics object to the list of objects.
Click Close.
Click OK to close the Solution dialog box.
Add an Automatically Matched Layer to the exterior of your fluid domain. For more information, see Create an Automatically Matched Layer (AML).

How do I
Create a Fan Noise load and solution
Import the CFD pressure data
Map the CFD fan mesh to transient fan blade elements
Set the fan parameters and rotation axis
4.Convert the pressure data to fan blade force
Create an acoustic SOL 108 Direct Frequency Response solution
Create a Fan Noise load or loads
