Using Simulation File View in Teamcenter Integration

In Teamcenter Integration, the Simulation File View panel in the Simulation Navigator provides additional features to help you navigate related CAE data:

• The Simulation File View includes additional columns that list the Teamcenter name and description of open item revisions.

• If a CAEAnalysis revision contains referenced results files, the Status shows as Solved. Right-click the revision and choose Show Result Files to view a list of all results files referenced by the CAEAnalysis revision.

• Simulation Search View is an extension of the Simulation File View. Use this view to search Teamcenter for CAE items related to the item that you select in the Simulation File View.

Enter Simulation Search View

When you first enter Pre/Post, the Simulation File View panel displays all item revisions loaded in the current session.

To enter Simulation Search View, in the Simulation File View panel, right-click a currently loaded item revision, and choose Find CAE Items.

Finding related CAE items

Right-click an item revision in the Simulation File View and choose Find CAE Items:

• Right-click a master part item revision to find all idealized part item revisions and FEM item revisions related to the master part.

• Right-click an idealized part item revision to find all FEM item revisions related to the idealized part.

• Right-click a FEM item revision to find all related Simulation item revisions.

Focus on a specific item's relationships

Depending on the number of related items found, the Simulation Search View may become cluttered and difficult to navigate.

• To show only those items directly related to the selected item revision, right-click an item revision in the search results and choose Focus on Item.

• To show all search results, right-click and item and choose Focus Out.

Load a found item

Double-click an item revision in Simulation Search View to load the part in Simulation Navigator and display it in the Graphics window.

Return to Simulation File View

To return to the Simulation File View showing all loaded parts, right-click the Teamcenter Search Results node and choose Switch to Session View.
