Specialist Durability Function Definition scenario
The Function Definition (SDF) scenario lets you visualize the specialist durability function definition results as function plots (XY plots of time histories and contribution bar charts). It supports the following input definitions:
Time history functions
Damage time history
Load contribution

Defining the data
You can plot the following function definition result types, depending on the content of the data source:
For a time history function definition
Stress
Strain
For a damage time history definition
- Damage and Damage Derivative
For a load contribution definition
Load contribution - stress
Load contribution - damage
Filtering scenario results
When plotting the function definition results, you can apply different filters to focus on a selection of data. The available selection filters depend on the selected scenario and input definition. The selection filters include:
Local definition
Result location
Element result location
Ply ID
Projection index or name
Event description
Component
If you select more than one option for a specific filter, the software plots the results over all selected filters simultaneously.
The following example displays stress results in an XY plot, when both the top and bottom are selected in the result location filter.
