Offset Midsurface dialog box
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Target Body | Lets you select the solid body with uniform thickness. |
| Seed Face | Lets you select the seed face, which is the face from which the offset method begins the midsurface extraction process. |
| Region | Highlights the faces in the region generated by propagating the seed faces until they reach edges on the boundary faces. |
| Full Boundary | Highlights the boundary faces generated from the automatic boundary calculation. |
| Midsurface Position | Lets you redefine the placement or depth of the midsurface being edited. Move the slider bar to define the depth of the midsurface relative to the seed face.0% position — midsurface is at the seed face100% — midsurface is at the opposing face50% position (default) — midsurface is halfway between the seed face and target body face |
| Cliff Angle | Defines the angle used by the software to determine the boundary faces. You can change the angle value currently being used for the midsurface and replace it with a smaller or larger angle normal value. |
| Hide Original | If selected, hides the original solid body; only the sheet body is displayed. |
| Confirm Upon Apply | Lets you preview what the results will look like. An additional dialog will appear after you click Apply that lets you accept or reject the results, or you can choose one of the analysis options: Interference, Examine Geometry, Curve Analysis, Section Analysis, and Deviation Checking. To reject the results, click Back. To accept the results, click OK. If you reject the results, you will not have to start over—the option retains your previous input, although you may need to reselect the items you want to change. |
