Include seam and spot weld sets in a Specialist Durability solution
This procedure assumes that you have existing Durability Seam Weld Sets or Durability Spot Weld Sets containing durability seam and spot welds, respectively, and that the related universal connections have a status of Up-to-date.
Configure the durability sets that you will add to the Specialist Durability local definitions. To add a durability weld to a set, right-click the set and choose Add Seam Weld or Add Spot Weld. To remove a durability weld from a set, right-click the weld and choose Remove. Note: Durability welds that are not a member of any set are moved to the Orphan Durability Seam Weld Set.To add and remove durability welds from a set, right-click the set and choose Edit. In the dialog box, add welds to and remove welds from the Weld Connection Selection list, and then click OK. To change a durability weld to a different one, right-click the weld and choose Edit. In the dialog box, from the connection list, select the connection you want to use as the replacement, and click OK.
For seam welds, assign the simulation recovery object. To assign a simulation recovery object to a seam weld set, right-click the Durability Seam Weld Set container and choose Edit.To assign a simulation recovery object to an individual seam weld, right-click it and choose Edit.
Set the status of the durability weld.To keep the durability weld in the set but omit it from the analysis, right-click it and choose Deactivate. To include the durability weld in the analysis again, right-click it and choose Activate.A weld is included in a solution if it is both active and selected in the local definition. For example, multiple welds can have the Active status, but only the active ones that are selected in the local definition are included in the solution.
