Data references in the Edit and Apply Layout State dialog box
The Edit and Apply Layout State dialog box lets you edit the data references in a layout state that point to the reference objects from the source FEM or Simulation file.
For each entry in the table, the following information appears:
Viewport—Indicates the corresponding viewport.
Source—Indicates the contents of the viewport, for example, a post view with a post-processing scenario () or post-processing results ().
Display—Lists the type of display used to visualize the result. For example, an XY plot, post view, and so on.
Object—Displays the type of data reference. For example, Result Post View for a viewport containing a post view, Field XY plot for an XY plot shown with data from a field, and so on.
Resolution statusResolved—The data references point to the required data.Unresolved—The data references point to missing or incompatible data. If you leave references unresolved, the corresponding viewports are not displayed.
The table below lists the available data references and their corresponding parameters that you can edit.
Note:
You cannot change the type of data reference through the Edit and Apply Layout State dialog box. For example, you cannot change simulation results to imported results.
