Thermal groups in Simcenter Samcef mapping solution
In the Mapping solution options, when you create thermal group names, the software parses the source thermal model to extract all the 2D or 3D element groups it contains. For each of these groups, the software automatically creates an External Thermal Group Name modeling object.
In the Properties group of the modeling object, the following properties are automatically populated.
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Group Name | The group name as defined in the thermal solution |
| SDB file | The Simcenter Samcef database (.sdb) file containing the Simcenter Samcef thermal model data |
| Number of elements | The number of elements in the group |
| Group Id | The group's ID |
