| Modeling Object | |
|---|---|
| Name | Specifies the name of the modeling object. |
| Label | Sets a unique numerical identifier for the modeling object. |
| Properties | |
| Description | Lets you enter a brief description. Click to open a text editor where you can enter a longer description. |
| L-Curve | |
| Method | Adaptive Pruning MethodLets you specify the optimal cut-off percentage tolerance at each frequency and RPM. When you use this method, the software also outputs residual norms and residual values.ManualLets you specify a tolerance for singular value removal by using a field. The software removes singular values that are smaller than the threshold percentage of the maximum singular value before the numerical inversion. |
| L-Curve Computation Periodicity (Frequency Steps) | Appears when Method is set to Adaptive Pruning Method.Sets the number of frequency steps to include in the L-curve computation. You must enter an integer value greater than or equal to 1. |
| Specify Field | Appears when Method is set to Manual.Specifies the frequency-dependent tolerance field values. For information about field options, see Specify Field options. |
Specify Field options
| These options are available when Method is set to Manual. | |
|---|---|
| Select Existing Field from List | Lets you select an existing field to specify an articulation time step that varies with time. |
| Formula Constructor | Lets you use a formula to construct a field. For more information, see Define a boundary condition using a formula field. |
| Table Constructor | Lets you use a table to construct a field. For more information, see Define a boundary condition using a table field and Define a material property using a table field. |
| Plot(XY) | Plots the field as an XY graph. For more information, see: Plot functions, Graph overview, and Edit display properties of graph objects. |
| Overlay(XY) | Available when a plot is already displayed. Overlays a plot on an existing plot. You can overlay up to 50 plots. For more information, see Overlay plots. |
