Import a field
In the Simulation Navigator, right-click the Fields node and choose Import.
(Optional) In the Field Import dialog box, select the directory from which you want to browse.Click Import User Field File for the part file directory.Click Import Site Field File for the site file directory.
Click Browse .
In the Field File dialog box, browse to and select the file that contains the fields that you want to import.
Click OK.
In the Field Import dialog box, from the Conflict Resolution list, select the method that you want to use to resolve naming conflicts.
(Optional) If you select Prepend String to Imported Field Name, in the String to prepend to conflicting field names box, type a text string to overwrite the default that the software prepends to the name of the fields that you are importing.
(Optional) To limit the fields that you want to import by type, name, or another criterion, from the Filter list, select a criterion.Only the fields in the file that you are importing that satisfy the filtering criterion are displayed in the Fields list.
If a naming conflict exists and you select User Specified Replace and/or Rename from the Conflict Resolution list, in the Fields table, in the Status cell, right-click and choose:Rename Imported to retain the naming for the existing fields and rename the fields that you are importing by appending an integer to their names.Replace Field to replace the existing fields with the fields that you are importing.Replace and Backup Field to replace the existing fields with the fields that you are importing and create backup copies of the originals.
(Optional) To omit fields that are listed in the Fields table from being imported, in the Status cell for the field, right-click and choose Do Not Import .
Click OK.
