Pending assembly FEM components table
Part Number Lists CAEModel revision components of the new or modified CAE model structure.Use the check boxes to select model components to update as component FEMs of the assembly FEM:An empty check box indicates that the component requires an update.A gray check box indicates that the component is up-to-date. A red check box indicates that the component is selected for update.
Bodies For new CAEModel revisions that do not contain an existing NX FEM dataset or have no UGPART reference, use the check boxes to control if polygon bodies will be created:An empty check box indicates that the FEM will be created with no polygon bodies.A red check box indicates that the FEM will be created with polygon bodies.
Map CAD For new CAE model revisions with a relation to a CAD item revision, use the check boxes to determine if the CAD positioning will drive the FEM positioning in the assembly FEM:An empty check box indicates that the new component FEM is positioned by the Teamcenter transformation matrix, or at the WCS origin if no Teamcenter transformation matrix exists for the component.A red check box indicates that the new component FEM is positioned by the CAD component’s position in the CAD assembly.
FEM Environment
Template Specifies the FEM template file to use when adding new FEMs based on CAEModel revisions. If any CAEModel revisions reference mesh bulk data, the specified solver value determines the solver translator used to import the mesh.
Solver Available only when the selected template is Blank.Specifies the solver language to use when adding new FEMs based on CAEModel revisions. If any CAEModel revisions reference mesh bulk data, the specified solver value and analysis type determine the solver translator used to import the mesh.
Analysis Type Available only when the selected template is Blank.Specifies the analysis type to use when adding new FEMs based on CAEModel revisions.
2D Solid Option Allows you to choose the plane on which you can create axisymmetric elements.None — No axisymmetric elements can be used.ZX Plane, Z Axis (Simcenter Nastran, Simcenter 3D Multiphysics, MSC Nastran solvers) — If axisymmetric elements are used, they must be on the ZX plane. The axisymmetric rotation axis is Z.XY Plane, X Axis (Simcenter Nastran, Simcenter 3D Multiphysics solvers) — If axisymmetric elements are used, they must be on the XY plane. The axisymmetric rotational axis is X.XY Plane, Y Axis (ANSYS, Abaqus solvers) — If axisymmetric elements are used, they must be on the XY plane. The axisymmetric rotational axis is Y.
