Time to SRS Conversion dialog box

Generates a Shock Response Spectrum (SRS) from a Time function. Transforms time domain data into SRS format.

Qualifying Records table
Qualifying Records Displays the available AFU records.
Show All Displays all records in the loaded AFU.If you clear this check box, the table displays only the functions available that can be processed by the conversion.
AFU Name column Lists the AFU loaded to the model.
Record Name column Lists the record identifier.
Function Type column Lists the function type (Frequency, Time, and so on).
Abs Unit column Lists the abscissa (X-axis) units.
Ord Unit column Lists the ordinate (Y-axis) units.
Add AFU Records Adds a function to the table.Select the function from a loaded AFU file in the XY Function Navigator and click .
Remove AFU Records Removes a function from the table.Select the function in the table and click .
Input Parameters
Frequency Axis Lets you specify the function Frequency Axis type.LinearLogOctave1/3 OctavePoints per Octave
Frequency Minimum Sets the function Frequency Minimum.Note: Define the Frequency Minimum to be above the lowest rigid body mode but low enough to include the lowest non-rigid body mode of interest. If the Frequency Minimum is low enough to excite a rigid body mode, there will be no peak response because the structure will be moving in space.
Frequency Maximum Sets the Frequency Maximum.Note: Define the Frequency Maximum to include the highest mode of interest.
Frequency Increment Available when the Frequency Axis is set to Linear. Specifies the delta frequency for the resulting function.
Points per Decade Available when Frequency Axis type is set to Log or Points per Decade. Sets the number of data points to use between logarithmic decades.
Damping Ratio Sets the function Damping Ratio, which is used by the single DOF oscillator to determine the Shock Response Spectrum (SRS).
Response Type Sets the function Response Type.Positive MaximumSets the maximum amplitude to be the peak Positive Maximum of the SRS.Negative MaximumSets the maximum amplitude to be the peak Negative Maximum of the SRS.Absolute MaximumSets the maximum amplitude to be the peak Absolute Maximum of the SRS.
Pad end of function with zeros if needed Modifies the input function to set the function slope at the ends of the time range to zero. If the last two functions points are not zero, the software adds additional zero points at the end.Note: Non-zero values and slope at the ends of the time range may result in undesired large low-frequency responses. Using this setting adjusts your input data to eliminate these effects. If the Frequency Minimum is greater than any rigid body modes this setting is not needed.
Output
Output Specifies how the software should write the resulting data in the AFU file. AppendAppends the new function to an existing function.OverwriteOverwrites an existing function with the new function.Other AFUSelects a new AFU file in which to save the function.
AFU File Available when Output is set to Other AFU.Sets the path and file name of the AFU file where the resulting data will be saved. You can also click Browse to select the file location.
