Sizing options for constraints
Use the Sizing Option list in the Local Resolution Constraint, Contact Prevention Constraint, and Auto Refinement Constraint dialog boxes to specify the:
Target resolution for the local resolution constraint to refine or coarsen the surface wrap body in selected regions.
Minimum resolution for the contact prevention constraint beyond which the surface wrapper stops trying to maintain small gaps between selected objects or element faces.
Minimum resolution for the auto refinement constraint to refine the surface wrap body in selected regions.
Relative Refinement
Refines the surface wrap domain in the affected region. The refinement is relative to the default resolution specified in the surface wrap recipe. The software computes the effective local resolution using R/2x, where R is the global resolution and x is the specified local subdivision.
Relative Coarsening
Coarsens the surface wrap domain in the affected region. The coarsening is relative to the default resolution specified in the surface wrap recipe. The software computes the effective local resolution using R**2x*, where R is the global resolution and x is the specified local subdivision.
Absolute
Performs a local refinement or a local coarsening using the absolute dimension for the specified local resolution. The software rounds up this value to the closest available effective local resolution.
