Transform pre-computed 2D electromagnetic forces into loads
The high-level workflow for using Model and Load Pre-processing to transform pre-computed forces from a 2D electromagnetic simulation into Simcenter Nastran loads on a 3D mesh includes the following steps. The pre-computed forces are in an external file.
Specify a UNV input file or another supported file to process the external result data.
Execute the data processing operation Load extrusion to extrude the forces and free element edges from a 2D mesh of an electromagnetic simulation.
Execute the Model and Load Pre-processing pre-solver, which generates files in different formats, including an HDF5 file.
Before you map the nodal forces from the extruded 2D mesh to a 3D structural mesh, check the quality of the extrusion with a preconfigured post-processing view.
Map the result data from a source to a target mesh using conservative force mapping.
Execute other various data processing operations, such as Time Signal Processing.
Execute the Model and Load Pre-processing pre-solver.
Visualize the results with a preconfigured post-processing view before you extract the forces stored in the HDF5 file and use them in a Simcenter Nastran solution.Note: The HDF5 file is supported by SOL 108 and SOL 111 solutions with standard FEM or FEM Adaptive Order (FEMAO) method.
