Add an existing FEM to an assembly FEM

  1. Right-click the assembly FEM in the Simulation Navigator and choose Add Existing Component.

  2. In the Add Component dialog box, choose a loaded FEM file from the Loaded Parts list, or click Open to browse for a file.To add a subassembly FEM, choose a loaded assembly FEM file (.afm), or click Open to browse for an assembly FEM file.For more information about using the Add Component dialog box, see Add Component overview.

  3. Click OK.In the Simulation Navigator, the FEM file appears as a child of the assembly FEM node. Assembly FEM A component FEM.The FEM is displayed in the graphics window.

  4. If necessary, move the component FEM within the assembly.
