Modify the component catalog XML file
In this example, you will add a one-resistor model diode. A one-resistor thermal model necessitates a value for the case board resistance, Theta CB, a maximum case temperature, and the dissipation load.
Choose Home tab→Loads and Conditions group→Simulation Object Type →PCB Component .
Click Component Catalog
Right-click the component catalog name and choose Edit using spreadsheet.
To create a new diode item in the catalog, in the row after the last row, in the columns, type the data as shown:Family = Diodes****Component = DN203****Package = SOIC16****Resistor Model = 1****Manufacturer = Nebo****Theta CB = 100****Load = 0.228****Maximum Case Temperature = 105****Element Color = Green
(Optional) Modify data from an existing component.
Close the XML file in the spreadsheet application.
In the Item navigator, expand the component catalog node and the Diodes node, and select DN203.
Verify that the values for the item properties are the ones that you entered.
Click OK.
Notice that the diode values populate the options in the PCB Component dialog box.
