Option
Type	Specifies the type of entities to show, either nodes or elements.
Select Entities
Method	Specifies the method to select the elements or nodes to be shown.Pick from ModelLets you select elements or nodes in the graphics window.By Entity IDsLets you select elements or nodes by entering their IDs in the Entity Label box.Entities in GroupLets you select elements or nodes in a predefined group.
Select Entity	Available when Method is set to Pick from Model.Lets you select entities in the model in the graphics window.
Pick	Available when Method is set to Pick from Model.Specifies the method in which you can select entities in the model. SingleLets you select individual nodes or elements in the graphics window.**Box (Visible)**Lets you drag a selection box to select nodes or elements that are visible in the model's current orientation in the graphics window. Nodes or elements that are hidden behind other post view objects are not selected.**Box (All)**Lets you drag a selection box to select nodes or elements. Nodes and elements that are hidden behind other post view elements are also selected.MeshLets you select an entire mesh. All nodes or elements in the mesh are selected.Feature FaceLets you select all nodes or elements located on a feature face.Feature EdgeLets you select all nodes or elements located on an edge.
Group	Available when Method is set to Elements in Group.Lets you choose from a list of existing groups of elements or nodes. You can create groups using Format→Group→New.Click Apply Group to apply the selection.
Boolean	Determines how you can specify elements or nodes in the model. The Boolean operation you select is applied to all subsequent element selections, regardless of the Method. Add to Selection Adds all selected elements or nodes to any existing selection. Add to Selection and Deselect Duplicate Pairs Adds any unique result of applying the current method, and deselects elements or nodes found by both methods. Deselect Deselects any elements or nodes that were previously selected. Select Only Not Already Selected Selects only those elements or nodes found by the current method not previously listed. Select Only Already Selected Selects only elements or nodes found by the current method that are already selected.
Entity Label	Available when the Method is set to By Entity ID.Lets you type the IDs of the entities to show. You can enter multiple IDs by separating them with commas. Click to confirm your entry.
Mark IDs	Displays the ID of each selected element or node in the graphics window.
Clear Highlights	Removes all the identifying labels or IDs from the display of the model. Clear Highlights does not clear the selection of elements or nodes.
Clear Selection	Clears the selection of all elements or nodes and clears the Selection box.
