Solution and post processing
With this software, you can use Nastran, Simcenter Samcef, ANSYS, Abaqus, LS-DYNA, or Simcenter 3D Multiphysics to solve the finite element solution.
When you display results from your model in the Post Processing Navigator, you can view:
2D shell stress resultants
Solid element forces
Ply strains, stresses, and failure indices
For Nastran, interlaminar (bond) failure indices, ply and interlaminar strength ratios
For Simcenter Samcef, interlaminar stresses, scalar damage, damage tensor, critical load case, and critical ply
Interlaminar stresses and delamination results for cohesive layers
Using the advanced laminate post report metasolution, you can:
Quickly identify critical areas using summaries.
Envelope ply results over all plies and for multiple load cases: Ply stress and strainPly and bond failure indexPly and bond margin of safety Ply and bond strength ratio
Sort and filter results in tabular format.
Recalculate ply results using modified laminate definitions without launching a new solution.
