Laminate plate geometric properties
On Opt Design Space page of the Laminate Optimizer Configuration dialog box, you must enter the dimension of the laminate plate. The optimization process uses these dimensions to compute:
Total Mass objectives or constraints.
Buckling Factor objectives or constraints.
Natural Frequency constraints.
The dimension called Plate Size (Side A) is denoted by on the following graphics and is the dimension of the side of the laminate plate that is parallel to the X axis.
The dimension called Plate Size (Side B) is denoted by on the following graphics and is the dimension of the side of the laminate plate that is parallel to the Y axis.
| X axis | Side A of the laminate plate | ||
| Y axis | Side B of the laminate plate | ||
| Z axis | Laminate plate |
