Using the Post Processing Navigator

You work with results in post views using the Post Processing Navigator, which presents the results you opened or imported as a graphical, interactive, hierarchical tree.

  • At the top of the tree are the results you loaded from the Simulation Navigator.

  • Any objects you create, such as graphs, also appear within the results so you can open, manage, and edit them.

  • Imported results from solves performed outside of the current set of solutions are listed under Imported Results.

  • When you display results, the post views in which the results are displayed appear under Viewports, letting you manage and edit them. You can control the display of results based on meshes.

  • The displayed results are also automatically saved in layout states under Layout States. You can use the layout states to restore the data and appearance of a saved view.

  • If you selected to open system post templates, the templates appear in the Post Processing Navigator letting you quickly change the display.
