Create a Weld Row mesh control

Choose Home tab→Mesh group→Mesh Control .
From the Density Types list, select Weld Row.
In the Selection group, click Select Targets and select the edge or chain of connected edges that define the weld location.
In the Weld Row Face Data group, click Select Face to select face or faces associated with the welded edge.
In the Layer Depth box, specify how much you want the software to offset the first row of elements on either side of the welded edge.
In the Number of Layers box, specify how many structured rows of elements you want the software to create on either side of the welded edge.
Use the Spacing on Edge options to control the size or number of elements that the software creates in each row.
Select Automatic to have the software automatically preview the nodal distribution along the selected edge each time you modify the selected options on the dialog box , or click Preview to manually preview the nodal distribution.
Click OK or Apply to create the mesh control.
