Load sets

You can define and organize loads in Simulation files using load sets. Using load sets is similar to using case control commands in Nastran. This functionality is supported for Simcenter Nastran, MSC Nastran, and Simcenter 3D Multiphysics solutions. The load sets are stored in the Solver Sets folder in the Simulation Navigator.

You can also create the load set in the active solution or subcase. You can add folders of loads to load sets. If the folder contains loads other than those accepted by the particular load set type, the software adds the folder, but disables the unaccepted loads.

Supported solution sequences

The following table shows the types of solutions that are available for each Nastran solution type.

Available load set types Supported Solution types
Load Set (General) All Nastran and Simcenter 3D Multiphysics solution types
Frequency Excitation Set SOL 108, 111, 200
Transient Excitation Set SOL 109, 112, 129, 159, 200, 401, 601, 701
Acoustic Load Set SOL 108, 111
