Managing the Post View

On the Post View tab, in the Solution Control Monitor, you can modify the model view and examine specific real-time results.

Displaying results during the solve

Using Post View options, you can:

• Display contour or maker plots of the nodal or elemental results on your model, and change their maximum and minimum values displayed on the legend.

• Display results in cross section views. For more information, see Control cutting plane display.

• Probe for individual node results and measure the distance between two nodes. For more information, see Probe results on nodes during the solve..

• For velocity results, customize how the arrows and streamline tubes are displayed, such as their scale, ratio, and direction. For more information, see Display vector results as arrows and streamlines.

• Stop and restart the result animation at any time while the Solution Control Monitor is open. The animation can run from the start of the solution to the current iteration or time step.

Managing the model view

You can orient your display using the mouse or the Orient View commands in the View Options group. Use mouse buttons to pan, rotate, or scale the model in the Solution Control Monitor graphics window. These mouse command actions are synchronized with the ones in the Simcenter 3D graphics window.

In the Solution Control Monitor graphics window, you can:

• Display the location of the minimum and maximum result values, their element or node ID, and their magnitude using Annotations.

• Display a mesh entity and change its color.

• Show or hide the model mesh while displaying results using the Edge Visibility check box.Displayed results on model****Displayed results on mesh
