Morph Mesh tab options
| Selection | |
|---|---|
| Select Mesh | Lets you select the mesh to morph. |
| Inspect Topology | |
| Nodes On Topologically Modified Geometry | Displays nodes that are associated with topologically modified geometry. These are the nodes that will either remain associated to the geometry or become disassociated from the geometry during the automatic morphing operation. |
| Topologically Modified Geometry | Displays geometry with topology changes. These changes can include a change in the overall number of faces or edges. |
| Node Color | Lets you select the color to use to display the nodes that are located on topologically modified geometry. |
| Geometry Color | Lets you select the color to use to display the topologically modified geometry. |
| Show/Hide | Lets you display or hide the selected entities. |
| Tolerance | |
| Association Tolerance | Specifies the distance tolerance that the software uses to determine whether a node should:Remain associated to topologically modified geometry after morphing.Be projected back to the topologically modified geometry. |
| Movement of Node On Modified Face | |
| Controls how the software associates and moves nodes on topologically modified geometry. If the geometry has not been modified topologically, both options work identically. | |
| Move Based on Neighbor Movement | Select this option to have the software move a node based on how adjacent nodes move. With this option, the software first disassociates all nodes located on topologically modified geometry. After the software moves the nodes, if any of the orphan nodes lies within the Association Tolerance value of its parent geometry (the geometry to which it was associated prior to the CAD topology modification), the software:Projects the node back onto the geometry.Reassociates the node to the geometry. |
| Move Keeping Association Intact | Select this option to have the software use the specified Association Tolerance value to determine how to associate and move nodes on topologically modified geometry during morphing.Nodes that lie within the Association Tolerance value to their parent geometry remain associated to them during morphing.Nodes that lie outside the Association Tolerance value to their parent geometry are disassociated from the geometry before morphing. These nodes remain stationary during morphing. Note: This method does not work if the majority of nodes on any topologically modified faces are not within the Association Tolerance value before morphing. |
| Preview | |
| Show Result | Previews the morphed mesh based on your current selections. |
Display Association tab options
| Partially Associated Elements | |
|---|---|
| Select Elements | Lets you select the elements that you want to check to see whether they have any partially associated nodes. The software checks whether all an element's connected nodes lie on the same geometry, or on the children of that geometry. If they do not, then the software identifies the element as being partially associated to the geometry. |
| Partial Element Color | Lets you select the color to use to display elements that have nodes that are partially associated to the geometry. |
| Show | Displays the elements that have nodes that are partially associated to the geometry. |
| Orphan Nodes | |
| Displays external nodes that are not associated to any geometry. | |
| Marker | Lets you select the type of marker to use to display nodes that are not associated to any geometry. |
| Color | Lets you select the color to use to display nodes that are not associated to any geometry. |
| Show | Displays the orphan nodes. |
| Associated Nodes | |
| Select Geometry | Lets you select the geometry for which you want to display the associated nodes. For example, if you select a body, the software highlights all nodes that are associated to the edges and faces of the body in the colors you select. |
| Edge Node Marker | Lets you select the type of marker to use to display nodes that are associated to edges. |
| Edge Node Color | Lets you select the type of marker to use to indicate the nodes that are associated to edges. |
| Face Node Marker | Lets you select the type of marker to use to display nodes that are associated to faces. |
| Face Node Color | Lets you select the color to use to display nodes that are associated to faces. |
| Curve Node Marker | Lets you select the type of marker to use to display nodes that are associated to curves. |
| Curve Node Color | Lets you select the type of marker to use to indicate the nodes that are associated to edges. |
| Show | Displays the nodes that are associated to the geometry. |
| Geometry without Nodes | |
| Show Edges | Displays edges that do not have any associated nodes. |
| Show Faces | Displays faces that do not have any associated nodes. |
| Edge/Face Color | Lets you select the color to use to display edges or faces that do not have any associated nodes. |
| Refresh Display | Clears all temporary graphics and colors from the display. |
