ANSYS environment > Linear perturbation analysis
Controlling how ANSYS writes restart files
You can use the Restart Controls (RESCONTROL) modeling object to control how ANSYS writes the .Xnn restart files for each load step in a multiframe restart. In a multiframe restart, you can save analysis information at many substeps within the solution and then restart the solution at one of those substeps.
The options in the Restart Controls (RESCONTROL) dialog box correspond to the options for the ANSYS RESCONTROL command. For more information, see:
RESCONTROL in the ANSYS Mechanical APDL Command Reference
Restarting an Analysis in the ANSYS Mechanical APDL Basic Analysis Guide.
